The New Works Festival has come and gone.
Dozens of performances, hundreds of audience members, guest artists from all over the country, a couple of swank parties...for a week, the Winship is like a huge hive of art.
A few reflections from Robert Faires, of the Austin Chronicle:

I was in "101," "Foodstuff," and "The Psyche Project." Some of the pics are serious blackmail material :)
It was incredible week. The thing I was most struck by was the optimism and humor running through so many pieces...there was both a lightness and a depth to piece after piece...the two things juxtaposed in a way that was really inspiring. More later.
