Exercise assigned in Steven's playwriting workshop, February 2007
Take 2 of your central characters and place them at a table with four chairs. In the other two chairs, take those characters a certain amount of time later (ie character A and A+5 months, character B and B+5 months). On the table, place an object that is somehow significant in your play, or emblematic of the conflict within your piece.
Write a scene using the above. Make it no less than one and no more than five pages long.
